Our program is designed around the four key sections of the NSW Selective High School Placement Test. Students build strong academic skills, critical thinking ability, and exam confidence through targeted practice and proven strategies.
Reading
Develop advanced reading comprehension skills through fiction, non-fiction, poetry, reports, and articles. Students learn how to analyse texts, identify key ideas, infer meaning, and answer multiple-choice questions accurately under time pressure.
Mathematical Reasoning
Strengthen problem-solving and logical maths skills using curriculum-based concepts up to Year 6. We cover number patterns, fractions, algebra, geometry, measurement, and challenging reasoning questions without calculator use.
Thinking Skills
Build critical thinking and reasoning abilities through verbal, logical, and abstract problem-solving exercises. Students learn techniques to tackle complex patterns, deductions, and analytical questions efficiently.
Writing
Improve creative and persuasive writing skills with structured techniques for planning, vocabulary, storytelling, and idea development. Students practice writing clear, engaging, and well-organised responses within exam time limits.
